LEONI AG, Nuremberg exceeded 3 %

On 29 October, 2008 Leoni AG informs according to Article 26, Section 1 Sentence 2 of the WpHG [the German Securities Trading Act] that its voting rights on Leoni AG, Nuremberg, Germany, ISIN: DE0005408884, WKN: 540888, have exceeded the 3 % limit of the voting rights on 28 October, 2008, due to a share buy-back programme launched on 14 October, 2008, and now amount to 3.14 % (this corresponds to 934,000 of a total of 29,700,000 voting rights). The share buy-back programme will involve buying back own shares in the Company of up to 10 percent of share capital, equating to a maximum of 2,970,000 shares.
