Washington D.C./Nürnberg – For the second time in a row, LEONI was honoured by General Motors as the best wiring systems supplier worldwide with the „Supplier of the Year Award“. Quality, service, technology and price of the wiring systems supplier have been valued.
Since 1992, General Motors awards its best global suppliers from different trades. In 2000, there were 165 award winners from 19 countries.
"LEONI represents the best of the best and it has set an example during the past year for other companies to follow," said Bo Andersson, executive in charge, GM Worldwide Purchasing, at the event in Washington D.C. "It is an honour to work with a company so committed to supporting our priorities for quality, launch and a balance between current and future business."
Four years co-operation with GM
"General Motors has only been part of the LEONI customer portfolio since 1997. We first received the Supplier of The Year Award after just two years of co-operation and now already for the second time in a row. We take this as proof of the efficiency of our products and our company," said Uwe H. Lamann, member of the Board of LEONI AG and responsible for the Wiring Systems Division. He received the award together with Hubert Vierrether, LEONI key account manager General Motors.
