Nuremberg – Financial Executive of Leoni AG, Mr. Dieter Bellé has been awarded last night in Karlsruhe, Germany, as „CFO of the Year“. The 52-year old manager received the award during the congress “Structured FINANCE Germany“.
With his election to „CFO of the Year“ the graduate in business management, Mr. Dieter Bellé, who manages since October 2000 as executive officer of Leoni AG the divisions Controlling/Finances, Taxes, Legal, IT, Risk Management, Investor Relations and Human Resources, was honored for his long-term successful management as specialist for group finances. Mr. Bellé, who is characterized by acting always target oriented and straight forward, accepted the award with great pleasure. The eulogy for the manager was held by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry in Schleswig-Holstein, Dr. Werner Marnette. The price has been awarded by the trade magazine FINANCE, a periodical of the F.A.Z. (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) publishing group.
The jury surveyed the market for company financing and M&A in Germany and considered for the election to „CFO of the Year“ several qualitative criteria. For the election of the Leoni CFO Dieter Bellé among others the strategic importance of the resort finances within the management team has been evaluated, usage of innovative financing instruments, the power of innovation during development and realization of controlling and evaluation systems in companies, the convincing feature and importance of the strategy in the course of company takeovers or joint ventures, the internal management and leadership skills and the extraordinary commitment for finance affairs and investor relations.
Mr. Bellé is the fourth award winner of the title „CFO of the Year“. His predecessors for this honor were Dr. Alan Hippe, finance manager of the Continental AG, Rüdiger Mr. A. Günther, former speaker of the board of directors and finance manager of the Claas Group and also last year Dr. Georg Kellinghusen, chairman of the board of directors of the kitchen manufacturer ALNO AG.
