Herewith, LEONI publicly announces that the company has to terminate its production activities in Brazil during the months of June and July due to economic reasons, Some minor functions in administration will remain in place.
It was not easy to take this decision, knowing about the tradition of the Itu plant and the high engagement of the workforce. However, this decision had to be taken on Group level based on financial figures, namely negative margins in manufacturing at the plant, as well as the overall strategies for LEONI South America.
The Management is well aware that this news will cause disappointment and sadness among the workforce. LEONI is committed for all the rights of the workers resulting from the termination of the work, the values and legal terms are assured by the company.
LEONI already started with the Union to legal communication and an incentive for the collaborators who will remain with the company until end of production.
LEONI directly and personally expressed its sincere gratitude to all employees for the shown commitment during their time of work to LEONI do Brasil. The company will give support to its employees for the conquest of a new job, upon the end of the production phase.

Através desta, LEONI anuncia publicamente que a empresa deve encerrar suas atividades de produção no Brasil durante os meses de junho e julho por motivos econômicos, contudo, algumas funções de suporte na administração permanecerão.
Não foi fácil tomar essa decisão, sabendo da tradição da fábrica de Itu e do alto engajamento da força de trabalho. No entanto, essa decisão teve que ser tomada em nível de Grupo com base em números financeiros, ou seja, margens negativas na fabricação nesta planta, bem como, considerando as estratégias gerais da LEONI South America.
A Administração está ciente de que esta notícia causará consternação e tristeza entre os colaboradores. A LEONI se compromete com o pagamento de todos os direitos dos trabalhadores decorrentes da rescisão de contrato de trabalho, também os valores e prazos legais são assegurados pela empresa.
A LEONI já iniciou junto ao Sindicato uma comunicação legal e um incentivo aos colaboradores que permanecerão na empresa até o fim da produção.
A LEONI expressa direta e pessoalmente seu sincero agradecimento a todos os colaboradores pelo comprometimento demonstrado durante seu tempo de trabalho à LEONI do Brasil. A empresa dará suporte aos seus funcionários para a conquista de um novo emprego, ao final do ciclo de produção.
