Consultant Digital Solutions

As an internal consultant, Oana Buliga provides support to the business units in their efforts to develop new, data-driven business models and implement novel strategies.

“I very much enjoy working on technology-driven innovations. At LEONI, for example, intelligent cables and integrated sensor systems are now becoming increasingly important. An intelligent cable can collect data in real time about its own state and recommend appropriate actions to its users. This in turn enables smart services such as digital simulations, data analytics, early warning systems and customer-focused products in various industries.

To develop these solutions, you need to be both inquisitive and a little impatient – in a positive sense. My work inspires me because it is a mixture of conceptual assignments and close collaboration with our techies. Although LEONI employs over 80,000 people worldwide, a friendly working environment is a key part of company culture. In our team, we’re happy to have ad hoc meetings in the kitchen, for example, and we often meet up after work for sport or other activities.

When developing and implementing new business models, I’m happy to use methods and tools such as the business model canvas, the market opportunity navigator or the lean start-up. Why? They are, quite simply, effective. For me, a job well done is when our teamwork – in innovation workshops, for example – leads to the development of real-world projects for LEONI.”
