• “Achieving more as a team –
    together with your colleagues”

    Andreas Thanner, IT Security

IT

IT Security Analyst

Andreas Thanner joined LEONI as an IT Security Architect. Today, he works in the Group’s IT Security team and is responsible for areas such as endpoint protection, the intrusion prevention system (IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM).

“No two days are ever the same. As an IT Security Analyst, I analyse attacks on our IT infrastructure, run active scans for vulnerabilities and implement measures to protect LEONI. In our team, we’re the hackers – but the ‘good guys’. It’s a great feeling to have, knowing that my work makes a significant contribution to IT security for the Group.

At LEONI, I come into contact with a wide range of technologies. Especially since digitalization is now affecting many areas previously unknown to IT. The key thing here is to always question your own level of knowledge and be prepared to never stop acquiring new expertise. And I’m always happy to share my knowledge with the team, because IT security is not generally achieved simply by buying various products but by having competent employees. You don’t get very far without your co-workers’ support.

LEONI relies on the quality of my work and invests regularly in my professional development. I’m also free to design and organise my assignments as I want, to ensure they are successful.”
