Aldo Kamper extends as CEO ahead of time
Chief Restructuring Officer Hans-Joachim Ziems will leave the Executive Board as planned

He has played a key role in stabilising the business in a very difficult period and prudently steered the company and its employees through the exceptional situation caused by the pandemic in the past year,” says Dr. Klaus Probst, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG. “The decisive realignment of the organisation and the transformation into a leaner and more dynamic financial and governance holding, bear the mark of Aldo Kamper and have helped to increase transparency and agility. We are convinced that the management team led by Aldo Kamper will sustainably guide Leoni back on track in the coming years.”
Aldo Kamper emphasises: “I am grateful for the trust placed in me. While the new year will certainly bring further challenges, I am confident that we have set the right course to stabilise Leoni in the long term. We have made good progress in a difficult environment and I look forward to leading Leoni into the future together with the team.”
Hans-Joachim Ziems will leave the Executive Board at the end of his one-year mandate on 31 March 2021. Since 1 April 2020, he served as Chief Restructuring Officer and was responsible for the implementation of the restructuring concept. His position on the Executive Board will not be reassigned. Ziems & Partner will continue to provide dedicated support to Leoni and the Executive Board to further advance the implementation of select restructuring measures.
Hans-Joachim Ziems says: “After we jointly succeeded in securing the continuation of business operations and setting the course to sustainably stabilize Leoni’s performance in the past financial year, I am leaving the Executive Board of Leoni AG as planned. With VALUE 21 and the restructuring concept, Leoni has the right measures in place to get back on the path to success.”
