Change in the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG

Klaus Rinnerberger proposed as successor to Dirk Kaliebe

Nuremberg, 6 April 2021 – The Nomination Committee of the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG proposes to the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2021 to appoint Klaus Rinnerberger – a proven expert in the automotive supply industry – to the Supervisory Board. He is to succeed Dirk Kaliebe, who has contributed to the successful stabilisation of business performance in recent months with his extensive restructuring and transformation experience.

Klaus Rinnerberger has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry and will contribute his expertise in the areas of restructuring, financing and strategic development to the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Pierer Industrie AG since 2010 and is currently also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SHW AG and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pankl AG. The qualified auditor and tax advisor was a member of the Executive Board of Polytec Holding AG between 2009 and 2012 and CEO of the Peguform Group after Peguform was spun off from Polytec and up until it was sold. Among other positions, he was previously a member of the Executive Board of Magna Steyr AG and Magna Automobiltechnik AG.

Industry expert Klaus Rinnerberger will be proposed for election to the Annual General Meeting on 19 May 2021. He succeeds Dirk Kaliebe, who was judicially appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG in August 2020 and whose mandate expires at the 2021 Annual General Meeting. With his extensive restructuring and transformation experience and in his role on the Supervisory Board of Leoni AG, Dirk Kaliebe has made an important contribution to the financial and operational stabilisation of the business performance in recent months.
