Plastics and elastomer technology degree with in-depth practical experience

In the bachelor's degree program in plastics and elastomer technology, you will build up extensive specialist knowledge in the areas of design theory, technical thermodynamics, materials science, extrusion technology, plastics processing and testing. The alternating practical phases at the Roth site offer you insights into various areas relevant to your studies, such as PVC preparation, cable extrusion and process technology. Through the practical experience gained, we promote your personal development and also support you in your orientation for your professional future after graduation.

The duration of the course is 3.5 years. The theory phase takes place at the Technical University Würzburg-Schweinfurt, in Würzburg, the practical phase at the LEONI facility in Roth. If you would like a different location for your theory phase, you are welcome to get in touch with the contacts below and specify the university you would like to attend. The prerequisite is that a similar course of study is offered there.

After completing this study program, many areas are open to you at LEONI, such as development, production, laboratory or project management.

What you will bring to this role:

  • Degree from a vocational college or high school diploma  

  • Good performance in mathematics, physics and chemistry

  • Good English and IT skills

  • Interdisciplinary thinking skills and enthusiasm for technology and materials

  • Willingness to and interest in assignments at LEONI facilities in Germany and abroad

  • Sense of responsibility, ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team, independence and flexibility
